OOC PREFERENCES:
CONTACT METHOD: I'm usually available at [plurk.com profile] shobogan, which is public, and you can always PM me on here.
THREAD-JACKING: Go for it.
FOURTH WALLING / CANON PUNCTURE: Look, his world has already imploded, "by the way this all came from other peoples' brains" isn't gonna break him now. Future knowledge is also good, it means Exandria has a future! WE DID IT GANG.
BACKTAGGING: Always!
AVOIDED TOPICS: None.
PREFERRED GENDER PRONOUN: They/them

IC CHARACTERISTICS:
CURRENT CANON POINT: The end of Fire and Ruin, the final episode of Exandra Unlimited: Calamity, aka his fourth death. Around a decade into the Calamity.
PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION: Zerxus is six feet tall, muscular and broad-shouldered. His dark wavy hair has streaks of grey, and his beard is usually braided in the front.

Zerxus walks with the weight of a broken world on his shoulders, and his amber eyes often turn bleak and distant.

He also has black ram's horns bursting from his forehead that he is clearly uncomfortable with accustomed to, by now.

Once he's relaxed enough to stop wearing his armour - elegantly sturdy platemail scorched black with hellfire - he'll default to plain outfits in blue, gray and gold, favouring comfort over any consistent style.

He's always wearing two necklaces: a carved, engraved stone that hangs from a sturdy chain, and a more delicate locket, a simple orb inscribed with runes.

DEMEANOR: Quiet and haunted, generally, and intensely socially awkward when he doesn't have a specific job to do. In a crisis he'll immediately become calm and focused.

ABILITIES: He's a seasoned paladin, and I've outlined his abilities here.

He's also an oracle, meaning he can tap into divine magic to have visions of the future. This isn't something he's actively honed; usually, he just happens to have a prophetic dream.

Those who can sense that sort of thing will feel both divine power and fiendish essence.

MEDICAL INFORMATION: Broadly speaking, Zerxus still has the anatomy of a human: organs where you'd expect them, functioning the way they ought to. The main difference, at least so far, is that he runs hotter than average.

He has a broad collection of scars collected over many years; the most startling are two lain across his heart, a blade of fire and then steel that clearly ran him through.

The horns work as a ram's would: a core of bone beneath a sheath of thick, ridged keratin.

CABIN INFORMATION: The door - ten feet tall and almost as broad - is made of black marble veined with gold, and crowned with spikes of onyx and ruby. It leads to a suite of rooms with the same general aesthetic.

The first - his bedroom - is unremarkable, for the most part; there's a bed, a fireplace, a desk, a few chairs.

But there's a grand balcony attached where Tempus is often perched, bathed in the same perpetual starlight of the deck.

There's a rack of armour in one corner, a wardrobe in another, and an archway that leads to a suite of opulent but largely impersonal rooms.

OFFENSIVE SUBJECTS: He's a little sensitive about fatherhood and the apocalypse.

IC PERMISSIONS:
MENTAL: Characters can definitely attempt mind control, but he'll try to resist and we can see how that goes! He's used to telepathy, and can communicate with it very effectively. Empathic abilities should work fine, just be prepared for how goddamn sad this man is every second of his life.

He's got a certain amount of clairvoyance himself, which could interact with other characters' abilities in interesting ways.

MIMICRY: Go for it.
VIOLENCE: Definitely. He's very good at it, but he'll almost always try to de-escalate a situation first.
MAGIC: Sure! He's capable of magic himself, and he was resurrected by a devil god, so we can decide if/how that impacts any spells cast on him.
DEBATE: Always.
